On the morning of 4th September 2020, Professor Lee Sze Wei, President of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Prof Say Sok Kwan, Vice President of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Wee Chu Kok, Vice President of the School of Economics and Management, together with the chairman of Globalfront International (M) Co., Ltd. Dato Low Kok Thai, general manager Lai Huihuang and Pesident of Quanzhou College of Technology, Prof. Lin Songbai, Vice President Professor Wang Yanjun, Vice President Dr. He Shiwei, President of international college Mr. He Zhenpeng, and Vice President Xiong Jieying of international college held online video conference on cooperation between the two schools.
Dato Low Kok Thai, chairman of Globalfront International (M) Co., Ltd introduced representatives of both sides enthusiastically, and the meeting was held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Professor Lee Sze Wei, President of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, introduced the recent situation of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College in detail. At the same time, he expressed his pleasure to communicate with Quanzhou College of Technology again. He hoped that the two sides would further discuss and exchange and realize the cooperation between the two schools in academic and teaching.
Professor Lin Songbai, President of Quanzhou College of Technology praised and admired the development and achievements of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. Later, they also introduced the general situation of Quanzhou College of Technology in detail. Professor Lin Songbai said that Quanzhou College of Technology began to recruit Malaysian students in 2017, and it has been the third batch. Quanzhou College of Technology has been running for 10 years, it has been providing accurate service to the development of local industries. In recent two years, the school has made remarkable progress and achievements, which has attracted great attention from the society. Leaders from the State Council, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Department of Education have visited the school for many times to investigate and guide the work. Meanwhile, President Lin Songbai affirmed the strong strength in terms of running conditions, professional construction and students’ source of Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. He hoped that the two schools would further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in education and teaching.
Then representatives of the two schools held consultations on the details of the cooperation. Both sides hoped that through signing a memorandum of understanding, the two sides could reach a consensus on the fundamental purpose of promoting and developing the opportunities for higher education cooperation between China and Malaysia. Under the mutual purpose of both sides, the Memorandum of Understanding was successfully and smoothly signed.
